Diamond heads have their blue colour primarily at the head. This species is highly sought after by aquarists for its stunning appearance and active nature.

The Best Aquarium Size:

A minimum capacity of 50L to accommodate a small school of Diamond Head Neon Tetras. A larger tank will allow for a more natural swimming space and better water quality.

Diamond Head Neon Tetra Tank Mate Compatibility:

Diamond Head Neon Tetras are social fish and thrive when kept in a school of at least six individuals. They are generally peaceful and can be kept with other peaceful community fish, such as small tetras, rasboras, and dwarf gouramis. Avoid housing them with aggressive or fin-nipping species.

Diet & Feeding:

Diamond Head Neon Tetras are omnivorous and readily accept a variety of foods. Provide a balanced diet consisting of high-quality flake or pellet food as a staple. Supplement their diet with live or frozen foods like bloodworms, brine shrimp, and daphnia to enhance their coloration and provide enrichment.
