Peacock cichlids can peacefully share a tank with fish species that thrive in the same water conditions.  Don’t house peacock cichlids with aggressive fish species like betta fishtiger barbs, and most other cichlid species.

Feeding :

A quality cichlid pellet, cichlid flakes that sinks to the bottom of the tank should be the foundation of their diet along with supplements of meat and vegetables. Live insects that sink to the bottom are also good, as are live or frozen cichlid food,  brine shrimp and Daphnia, or common water fleas.

Lighting

Artificial lighting is recommended, cichlids may like a system that dims or can be customized to match their native habitat.
