Description
The Red Scissortail Rasbora is a member of freshwater Rasbora fish family. The Red Scissortail Rasbora is a peaceful shoaling species and enjoys a planted aquarium in groups of 8 or more. Suited to the beginner aquarist and suitable for small to nano aquariums.
The Red Scissortail Rasbora is naturally found in densely vegetated black water streams. They are a timid species and will gain confidence with lots of hiding spaces and in groups.

- A silver slender body with orange and black marks on a scissor like tail
- This species can be seen to open and close it's tail like a pair of scissors
- Active during the daytime & rest at night
- Grows up to 5cm
