Despite it's name, captive bred Gold Tetra's are not gold, but are more silver. This is because the gold colouration comes from a reaction to an infection which is harmless but only found in wild fish.

The minimum tank size for a small group of Gold Tetra's is 70L. The Gold Tetra will occupy the top to middle water column in the aquarium.
