The Lepidiolamprologus elongatus is an African Cichlid endemic to the rocky shorelines of Lake Tanganyika. Renowned for its torpedo-shaped body and predatory behaviour, this species is one of the more aggressive Tanganyikan cichlids. Its streamlined form and striking horizontal markings make it a standout in species-specific or predator-focused aquariums. As a carnivorous ambush predator, it requires ample space and suitable tankmates to thrive in captivity.
