Danios are hardy species, ideal for beginner fish keepers. The gold longfin zebra danio is a captive-bred aquarium fish and has long, flowing fins and a long tail with an overall gold body and sheen. Danios are generally peaceful, but can become nippy if not kept in a large-enough school. Danios will tolerate cold water aquariums as well as tropical aquariums. They originate from tropical and subtropical waters in Asia from Pakistan to India and as far as Myanmar
