The Orinoco Angel Pleco is a peaceful fish. It is easy to combine with other fishes, but take note that it is also territorial and can be antagonistic against a member of the same genus.

Feed the Orinoco Angel Pleco a diet heavy in both meaty and vegetable matter, including high-quality vegetable flakes, sinking algae wafers, and pellets. Meaty foods such as bloodworms are definitely necessary for this species. A filtration system is necessary. In the tank, you have to remove the wastes as early as possible. With the help of a strong filtration system, this task becomes easy. Make sure the filter matches with your tank size.

Air pumps or bladders are recommended. The water flow of Pleco’s natural habitat is a bit fast, so come up with an aquarium set-up that provides strong current. You can search for an ideal Pump for your tank in our online shop.
Heater may needed in winter, the ideal tank temperature is 22 - 30° C. Thermometer is recommended to monitor the water temperature.
Plecos don’t eat plants or remove them from roots, so you can add some expensive plants too. But never crowd the space with numerous plants.
