If keeping a large school, ensure a good aquarium filter to remove waste. Ensure your filter has an adequate flow rate for your aquarium size to effective remove waste and debris. Filter type will depend on your tank, but internal filters provide great water agitation and oxygenation for you glass catfish. These fish naturally enjoy moderate water flow.

This fish enjoy temperatures between 23 - 27° C. If you are unable to maintain this temperature naturally, use an aquarium heater. Aquarium heaters also stabilize water temperatures. A thermometer is recommended to monitor the water temperature.
To mimic their natural habitat, we recommend adding live aquatic plants to your aquarium. A well planted tank with open swimming space in the middles makes them feel safe and provides opportunity to hide if needed. Plants such as vallisineria, ambulia, crypts, and swords are all excellent choices.
