The scissortail rasbora has a silver iridescence that shimmers and sparkles as it reflects ambient light.  As a shoaling species, they are best kept in groups of 6 or more fish. Normally, The males develop the red nose, females are plainer in colour.

  • The tail is forked, and bears bands of yellow and black, ending with a band of white at the tip

The minimum tank size for a small group of Scissortail Rasboras is 40L. They prefer to live in schools of a half dozen or more, the scissortail grouping is quite active. We always recommend going with larger aquariums to provide your fish with plenty of room to swim around and get comfortable.
