Mystus Striped Catfish are found in calm waters of lakes and ponds to flowing river waters. The are a shoaling species and form large groups in the wild. This catfish prefers a dimly lit aquarium with plenty of driftwood and foliage to hide amongst. Also known as the Asian Striped Catfish or Striped Dwarf Catfish.

Features of Mystus Striped Catfish:

  • Elongated body that tapers to a large transparent tail
  • Light to dark brown bodies with white to yellow horizontal stripes the length of body
  • Barbels at the mouth and a large eye
  • Spins on ray fins that are used when threatened
