Eggs laid on a firm surface and guarded by male until they hatch.

 

Feeding

Carnivore, prefers small live or frozen foods such as Daphnia.

 

Additional Comments

Very colourful dwarf gudgeon, suitable for planted tanks and nano tanks. Sometimes nips the fins of tankmates. Males have larger fins, females in breeding condition develop rounded yellow abdomens.
