Additional Comments

This species is considered endangered in the wild, it is restricted to one small creek in the Flinders Ranges in South Australia (the only other population of this species occurs in a small area of the Barcoo River in Queensland). An attractive species, it is easily kept but provide plenty of hiding places as it can be quite aggressive.
