Additional Comments

Variable native gudgeon, with many subtle geographic colour variations. Hardy and easy to care for.Sometimes nips the fins of tank mates, but is generally quite peaceful if kept in a large sized tank with similar sized tank mates. An expert jumper, use a tight fitting lid. This particular form was originally collected in a billabong (anabranch) adjacent to the Clohesy River west of Cairns, in nature it can grow to 20-25cm which is very large for M.adspersa.
