Northern Australia and southern New Guinea

 

Reproduction

Eggs scattered among plants, usually spawns in morning. Fry require very small foods such as Paramecium.

 

Feeding

Omnivorous. Prefers small sized foods such as Daphnia and Baby Brine Shrimp.

 

Additional Comments

Males put on elaborate courtship dances with extended finagle. Best kept in a single species tank, or with other small fishes in a planted tank. Suitable for nano tanks.
