Reproduction

Eggs scattered among plants, usually spawns in morning. First food for fry: Powder foods, Vinegar eels.

 

Feeding

Omnivorous, accepts most standard foods. Avoid beefheart.

 

Additional Comments

This smaller sized rainbow is very nice, developing distinctive red stripes along the body and red spotted fins. Best kept in a planted tank with some open swimming space.
