Reproduction

Spawns on a rock, plant, etc, eggs/fry guarded by the female. Males will spawn with several females. First foods for the fry can be small live foods such as baby brine shrimp and Microworms.

 

Feeding

Omnivorous. Eats most normal foods, but prefers small live or frozen foods regularly.

 

Additional Comments

Apistogramma Dwarf Cichlids are ideally suited to well planted tanks containing small fish such as Tetras. Provide some hiding places. Females stay much smaller than the males and the females have a more golden body colour when in breeding condition.
