Molly Platinum Dalmatian Crystal Eye Lyretail is an omnivore with a strong requirement for plant-based nutrition. A quality flake or pellet food should be used as the staple, supplemented with spirulina-based formulas to support digestion and colour vibrancy. Live or frozen foods such as brine shrimp and daphnia provide variety. Blanched vegetables like zucchini, spinach, and cucumber are highly beneficial. Feed 1–2 times daily in controlled portions.
Moderate to strong filtration is essential to maintain clean, well-oxygenated water. A canister filter or high-capacity internal filter is recommended for optimal stability.
Hardy aquatic plants such as Vallisneria, Anubias, and Java fern are ideal, offering cover and helping maintain water quality.
Moderate to bright lighting enhances the platinum base and spotting pattern while supporting plant growth.
Maintain a stable temperature between 24–28°C using a reliable aquarium heater to ensure consistent conditions.
Fine gravel or sand substrate works well, providing a natural look and supporting planted aquascapes.
Incorporate driftwood, rocks, and planted sections to create structure and shelter while preserving open swimming space.
