OASE BioMaster² Thermo 850 AU
The OASE BioMaster² Thermo 850 AU (94678) is a premium external canister filter designed for freshwater and marine aquariums up to 850 litres. Combining powerful biological and mechanical filtration with a built-in 400W HeatUp heater, this all-in-one filtration system eliminates the need for an in-tank heater, creating a cleaner aquarium appearance while maintaining stable water temperatures.
Featuring OASE's innovative EasyClean pre-filter module, maintenance is faster and easier than ever. Simply remove and rinse the pre-filter without dismantling the entire canister. The large 8-litre filter volume provides excellent biological filtration using Hel-X biomedia and filter foams, while the improved hydraulic design delivers a maximum flow rate of 1,500L/h for superior water circulation.
Engineered in Germany for quiet, energy-efficient operation, the BioMaster² Thermo 850 includes a self-priming button for easy startup, a secure shut-off valve system to prevent leaks during maintenance, and a modular media basket design for flexible filtration customisation.

Installation Tips
- Position the filter below the aquarium water level.
- Connect the supplied 16/22mm hoses to the inlet and outlet ports.
- Install the filter media baskets and EasyClean pre-filter.
- Fill the canister with water and use the integrated priming button to start the filter.
- Set the desired water temperature using the integrated HeatUp heater.
- Clean the pre-filter regularly to maintain optimal flow and extend the life of the biological media.
- During maintenance, close the shut-off valves before disconnecting the hose adapter to prevent water leakage
