Description
Keep your aquarium clean and well-filtered with the Eheim biopower 160, a powerful modular internal filter designed for aquariums from approximately 80–160 litres. It combines the convenience of an internal filter with the multi-layer filtration concept normally associated with external filters.
The biopower 160 uses multiple filter baskets for mechanical and biological filtration. The filter comes with Eheim SUBSTRATpro in its closed filter baskets, while the inlet basket contains a filter cartridge for mechanical-biological prefiltration. Additional compatible filter media can also be used.
Its ball-joint pump head can be rotated to direct the filtered water where you need it, while the adjustable flow control allows you to regulate water movement. The included power diffuser can also help increase oxygenation in the aquarium.

Filtration System
The biopower 160 uses a multi-layer filtration system with separate filter baskets. The modular design allows baskets to be added or removed to adjust the available filter volume. Different media can also be cleaned at different intervals, helping preserve beneficial bacterial cultures.
Installation & Maintenance
Secure the filter to the aquarium glass using its supplied holder and suction cups. Position the adjustable outlet according to the desired water flow.
During maintenance, the filter can be removed from its holder for easier cleaning and filter-media replacement. Clean the filter when you notice a noticeable reduction in pump performance rather than following a fixed schedule.
