Description

Know your filter is working at a glance — replace your worn Eheim flow indicator ball
and cage with a genuine OEM part.

The Eheim Flow Indicator Ball and Cage is a genuine replacement part for the Eheim
Professional II canister filter range. The flow indicator is a small but essential
component housed in the filter outlet — the floating ball rises and falls with water
flow, giving you an instant visual confirmation that your filter is running and
circulating water properly.

Over time the ball can wear, rattle, or stop floating correctly — this genuine
replacement restores full indicator function quickly and easily.

4. Remove the worn or damaged flow indicator ball and cage from the outlet housing

7. Restart the filter and confirm the ball rises with water flow

PRO TIP

If your flow indicator ball has started rattling during normal filter operation,
this is a sign the ball has worn and is no longer seating correctly. Replace it
promptly — a worn indicator does not affect filter performance but makes it harder
to visually confirm your filter is running at full capacity. Keeping a spare on
hand means zero downtime when it needs replacing.
