Create a natural, sunlit basking spot with the Exo Terra Sun Glo Daylight Halogen Lamp, a broad-spectrum halogen bulb designed to give off a more natural, sun-like light for your reptile.
Halogen bulbs are an advanced version of incandescent technology. Ordinary bulbs wear out as the tungsten in the filament gradually evaporates, but halogen bulbs contain a trace of halogen gas that returns the tungsten to the filament, extending the life of the bulb. They also run at higher temperatures, which produces a whiter light, a higher light output and greater efficiency.
The Sun Glo gives off higher levels of UVA, which supports your reptile's natural behaviour and physiological wellbeing, including activity, feeding and breeding. It also provides increased infrared penetration, warming your reptile more deeply for optimal thermoregulation and creating an ideal basking zone.

Please note: This lamp provides UVA and heat, but no UVB. Reptiles that need UVB also need a separate UVB lamp. Use it in a ceramic, heat-rated fixture, and use a thermometer or thermostat to monitor basking temperatures. Always provide a cooler area so your reptile can move away from the heat.
