Description

Add a compact, elegant touch to your aquascape with Rotala indica ‘Bonsai’, also known as Ammannia sp. ‘Bonsai’. This stem plant has small, rounded green leaves and dense, upright growth, making it ideal for detailed aquascapes, nano aquariums and carefully styled planted tanks.

It grows more slowly than most stem plants, so it keeps its tidy, bonsai-like shape with less frequent trimming. Under stronger lighting, the stem tips can take on a reddish tone.

How to Plant

  1. Remove the pot and gently take away the rock wool from around the roots.
  2. Separate the stems into small bunches.
  3. Plant each bunch into nutrient-rich substrate in small groups.
  4. Trim regularly, and replant the cuttings to fill out the group.
