Create a lush, natural green carpet with Utricularia graminifolia, known in the hobby as UG. This sought-after foreground plant has fine, grass-like, bright green leaves that grow into a soft, low lawn about 3–10cm tall, ideal for detailed aquascapes and nature-style layouts.
UG is a bladderwort, a family of plants that naturally grows in nutrient-poor places. After a short time in the aquarium it forms tiny bladder traps, one of the features that makes it so distinctive. It’s a rewarding challenge for experienced aquascapers, as it grows best with stable conditions, good lighting and CO₂.

Why Choose Tissue Culture?
Tissue culture plants are grown in sterile laboratory conditions, so they arrive free of the snails, pests and pest algae that can come in with potted plants. They’re supplied without rock wool, so they’re quick to rinse and plant.
Suitable For: Foreground carpets in planted freshwater aquariums and aquascapes with CO₂.
