Banggai Cardinalfish are suited for the beginner aquarist. It is a peaceful and hardy species and is a great choice for almost any aquarium. It has a distinct shape with long flowing fins, vertical black stripes, silver sides and white spots across its body.
This species is native to many areas within the Indo-Pacific region.

They are a good match with many other fish. The Banggai Cardinalfish are best kept singly or as an introduced pair. They are reef safe and can get along peacefully with other non-aggressive fish.
Banggai Cardinalfish are carnivores so their diet should consist of a variety of live and frozen food. This could include brine and Mysis shrimp, black worms and flake foods.
Banggai Cardinalfish require a minimum tank size of approximately 115L. They are smaller fish and require less room than many other fish. They like to hang out in the water column, moving back and forth to mimic their natural environment.
