This species is native to many areas within the Indo-Pacific region.
Here’s a list of some of the best tank mates for your Lawnmower Blenny:
They are a good match with current-loving corals, Green Star Polyps and Acropora. Lawnmower Blennies are peaceful fish but have been known to pick at smaller gobies, dart fish and other Blennies.
Lawnmower Blennies are herbivores so their diet should consist of vegetable matter including frozen and dried marine and blue-green algae. Blennies will feed off algae in the tank so incorporating mature live rock with algae growth is recommended.
Lawnmower Blennies require a minimum tank size of 200L. They are not active swimmers but they do require large areas to graze on.
