The Volitan Lionfish are suited for the intermediate aquarist. A spectacular predatory species that is sure to be the centerpiece of your aquarium. This species has venomous spines and care must be taken when handling. It's colouration can change depending on maturation.

This is a predatory species, do not keep with smaller peaceful fish, or crustaceans.
Lionfish should be fed live food when recently introduced to a tank and when small to initiate feeding. They can then be weaned on to frozen or fresh fish, shrimp or other meaty marine food.
Volitan Lionfish require a minimum tank size of approximately 250L. With plenty of open swimming space.
