Description
The T5 Reptile UVB 12% 39 W Tube provides full spectrum UVA and UVB lighting for sun-loving reptiles with high UVB needs, such as bearded dragons. At 849 mm long, it’s designed for medium to large terrariums and reproduces the UVA and UVB found in natural sunlight.
UVB helps reptiles produce vitamin D3, which supports calcium absorption and healthy bone development. UVA helps encourage natural behaviours such as activity, feeding and basking. With a UV Index (UVI) of 10.3 at 30 cm, this is a high-output tube, best suited to desert species and enclosures with plenty of room for a UV gradient.

How to Use
- Fit the tube into a compatible 90 cm T5 reflector fitting (sold separately).
- Mount it inside the enclosure above the basking area, at a distance suited to your species.
- Run it on a timer for a consistent day and night cycle, usually around 10–12 hours a day.
- Provide shaded areas so your reptile can move in and out of the UV.
Please note: Mesh screens and glass reduce or block UVB, so mount the tube inside the enclosure or above a suitable mesh where possible. Make sure your reptile can’t get too close to the tube, and always provide shade. Switch off and allow the tube to cool before handling. Check that 12% UVB suits your species, as many forest and nocturnal species need lower UVB.
