Description

Showmaster Natural River Sand is a fine-grained sand substrate for aquariums and terrariums. Its natural colour and smooth, even finish create a clean, natural-looking base for aquatic or reptile habitats.

The fine grain gives bottom-dwelling species a soft surface to sift, forage and explore. It’s available in 2 kg, 5 kg, 10 kg and 20 kg bags, to suit anything from a small tank to a large set-up.

How to Use

  1. Rinse the sand thoroughly in a bucket until the water runs mostly clear.
  2. Spread it evenly over the tank or enclosure base to your desired depth.
  3. For aquariums, add water slowly over a plate or bag to avoid stirring up the sand.
  4. Let any cloudiness settle and run the filter before adding livestock.

Please note: Rinse well before use, as some cloudiness is normal at first. Place the filter intake well above the sand, so it isn’t drawn into the filter. For reptiles, monitor feeding to avoid accidental ingestion, and use a feeding dish where needed.
