The Coral Beauty Angelfish is suited for the Beginner aquarist. It is also known as the Twospined or Dusky Angelfish. Its body and head are a royal blue highlighted by an orange to yellow iridescent colour. This is one of the easiest angelfish to care for.
The Coral Beauty Angelfish is native to the Great Barrier Reef and areas around Tahiti, Australia and East Africa.

Coral Beauty Angelfish are best grouped with small to medium sized community fish. Like other Angelfish they are semi-aggressive so be cautious with other Angelfish and SPS and LPS corals.
Coral Beauty Angelfish are omnivores and will eat spirulina, marine algae, high-quality angelfish preparations, mysis and frozen shrimp. Like other Angelfish, the Coral Beauty will graze on live rock.
This species requires a minimum tank size of 270L with lots of hiding spaces and live rock for grazing. It is not suited to reef aquariums and tends to nip at stony and soft corals.

Unlike other Angelfish, Coral Beauty Angelfish are more tolerant of shifting water parameters. Ensure good water quality and movement, particularly when they are introduced. As they are grazers, water changes should not include scrubbing the algae off the aquarium.
