Pantanalensis Corydoras are commonly found with Apistogramma's and small characids. will feel safety in numbers, a group of six corydoras or more in same species is highly suggested. These peaceful bottom dwellers can be kept with pretty much any community fish.
Corydoras will eat anything small or soft enough to fit in their mouths. Feed a quality flake, granule, sinking pellet or wafer. You can feed them live blackworms, frozen bloodworms, Hikari Vibra Bites, Hikari sinking wafers, sinking pellets and Nutrafin Max bottom-feeder tablets.

A good filtration system is necessary for a community tank, lots of oxygen and regular water changes is necessary for your corydoras to thrive. This species enjoys clean water. Ensure your filter has an adequate flow rate for your aquarium size to effective remove waste and debris.

This fish enjoy temperatures between 22 - 26° C. If you are unable to maintain this temperature naturally, use an aquarium heater. Aquarium heaters also stabilize water temperatures. A thermometer is recommended to monitor the water temperature.

For Corydoras pantanalensis, use smooth, fine sand or small gravel as substrate to mimic their natural environment. Incorporate driftwood, rocks, and caves for hiding spots, and add hardy plants like Anubias or Java Fern to create a secure, natural aquascape.
