The Best Aquarium Size for Jikin

A single adult Jikin should be housed in an aquarium of at least 100 litres. For a small group of 3–5 individuals, a tank size of 250–300 litres is recommended. A wider footprint is preferable to a tall tank, as Jikin require horizontal swimming space.

Diet for Jikin

Jikin are omnivorous and require a varied diet. High-quality sinking pellets should form the staple, supplemented with blanched vegetables (spinach, peas, zucchini) and occasional protein sources such as bloodworms or daphnia. Feeding should be done 2–3 times daily in small amounts to avoid overfeeding and maintain water quality.
