Description

Known for its iridescent colours and peaceful temperament compared to other Malawi cichlids, the Lethrinops Rainbow thrives in sandy-bottom environments and is ideal for experienced aquarists aiming to replicate biotope-accurate setups. Males display brilliant shades of blue, yellow, and red, especially during breeding periods, while females tend to be more muted in tone. Native to the deeper, sediment-rich zones of Lake Malawi, they are sand sifters by nature and require specific conditions to flourish.
