Description

Needle Leaf Ludwigia is a popular aquarium plant due to its low maintenance, yellow, orange and red colour and texture it adds to the aquarium. This variety of Ludwigia has a narrow elongated leaf offering ideal hiding locations for small fish and fry.

Growth Rate

Slow to moderate growth rate. Needle leaf Ludwigia will utilise nutrients in the water column in the form of liquid fertilisation, and enjoys a nutrient rich substrate for optimal colour and growth although not necessary. It can be pruned regularly to encourage bushy growth and cuttings propagated in the aquarium.

Lighting

Needle Leaf Ludwigia benefits from moderate to high lighting for optimal colour and growth, but will tolerate lower lighting. The plant will be greener in lower lighting.
