Keep your BioMaster filter's biological filtration working at its best with OASE Hel-X 13 BioMedia, the replacement biological media for the OASE BioMaster and BioMaster Thermo 250, 350 and 600 canister filters.
Hel-X BioMedia has a very large surface area across its open, suspending media form, giving beneficial bacteria plenty of room to colonise. These bacteria break down harmful ammonia and nitrite from fish waste, which makes Hel-X ideal for efficient, reliable biological filtration and a healthy, stable aquarium.
Because the biological media holds your tank's established colony of beneficial bacteria, it's best to replace it only when you're doing a complete tank restart. Replacing it at any other time can disturb your aquarium's biological balance. Hel-X is a great choice for a new setup or for replacing damaged or lost media.
