Description

The Rusty Cichlid (Iodotropheus sprengerae) is a peaceful and colourful Mbuna species native to the rocky shorelines of Lake Malawi. Named for its distinctive rusty-orange to lavender body tones, this species stands out for its calmer temperament compared to other Mbuna cichlids. It’s an excellent choice for aquarists looking to add a vibrant yet relatively low-aggression African cichlid to a mixed-species Malawi setup.
