Feeding

Carnivore, prefers small live or frozen foods, will also eat dry foods.

 

Additional Comments

Excellent fish for mosquito control in frog ponds in temperate regions. Becomes very colourful during breeding season (late winter and spring). Also a very good fish for unheated tanks.
