Description

The Reptile One Turtle Nursery Kit is a complete starter setup for baby turtles, with the key equipment needed to get your new turtle settled. The 60 cm glass tank comes with a secure wire mesh lid, filtration, heating, UVB lighting and a floating basking dock, all in one convenient kit.

A low-profile internal filter provides biological, mechanical and chemical filtration to help keep the water clean. The 50W preset glass heater maintains a steady water temperature. The floating dock, made from turtle-safe material, gives your turtle somewhere to climb out and bask. A 13W UVB compact lamp sits in a ceramic reflector above the tank to provide the UVB light turtles need to absorb calcium for healthy shell and bone development.

How to Use

Place the tank on a strong, level surface that can support its full weight when filled.
Fill with dechlorinated water to a suitable depth for your turtle, and add the floating dock.
Install the filter and heater, then fit the mesh lid with the reflector and UVB lamp above the dock.
Let the heater and filter run until the temperature is stable before adding your turtle.

Please note: Plants, substrate and ornaments aren’t included. Baby turtles also need a warm basking spot, so check whether an additional basking heat lamp is needed for your setup. Never place electrical equipment where it can fall into the water. Check your state’s licensing requirements before keeping native turtles.
