Fish Tank Compatibility
Long-Tentacled Plate Corals are generally peaceful but can sting nearby corals with their long tentacles, so provide ample space around them. They are compatible with most reef-safe fish and invertebrates. Avoid species that nip at coral tissue, including some butterflyfish and angelfish.
Lighting Needs
These corals thrive under moderate to high LED or T5 reef lighting, which promotes healthy tentacle extension and enhances their natural colouration. Gradually acclimate new specimens to stronger lighting to prevent stress or bleaching.
Water Flow Requirements
Provide moderate, indirect water flow that allows the tentacles to sway naturally without being damaged. Proper circulation helps deliver nutrients, remove waste, and maintain healthy polyp extension.
Tank Size & Placement
