Description

Ambulia is native to waterways of Southeast Asia and is a very popular bunch plant in the aquarium trade for its delicate lime green foliage. It adds texture to the aquarium, provides a food source for plant eating species, and protection for fish fry.

Difficulty

Easy to keep. Best to keep with species of fish that do not consume plant material.

Midground placement in the aquarium.  

Growth Rate

Rapid growth rate and enjoys nutrient rich substrate, although not essential. Ambulia will utilise nutrients in the water column in the form of liquid fertilisation.

Lighting

Ambulia requires high lighting requirements for healthy bushy growth. Lower leaves will drop if lighting is low.
