Fish Tank Compatibility
Zoanthids are peaceful and compatible with most reef-safe fish and invertebrates. Avoid placing them near highly aggressive LPS or SPS corals, which may overgrow or sting them. While generally safe, handle with care as some Zoanthids can produce palytoxin, a potent toxin, so always wash hands and tools after contact.
Lighting Needs
These corals thrive under moderate LED or T5 reef lighting. Proper lighting encourages polyp expansion, vibrant coloration, and healthy growth. Gradually acclimate new specimens to your lighting setup to prevent stress or bleaching.
Water Flow Requirements
Zoanthids prefer low to moderate water flow that allows their polyps to sway gently. Adequate circulation ensures nutrients reach each polyp and helps remove detritus without damaging delicate tissue.
Tank Size & Placement
Zoanthids are suitable for small to large marine aquariums. Place them on stable rockwork or substrate with enough room to expand and form colonies. Regular maintenance and stable water parameters will help your Zoanthids thrive and maintain their bright, striking colours.
