Thin Vallisneria is a hardy, fast-spreading aquarium plant with long, narrow, ribbon-like leaves that sway gracefully in the water flow. Planted along the back of the tank, it quickly creates a lush, grassy background that adds height and movement to freshwater aquariums.
It’s an easy, beginner-friendly plant that adapts to a wide range of conditions and doesn’t need CO₂ injection. Vallisneria spreads by runners, sending out new plantlets that fill in the space over time. Its dense growth gives fish and fry plenty of cover, and it helps absorb excess nutrients that could otherwise fuel algae.

How to Use
Please note: Some leaves may melt as the plant adjusts to a new tank. This is normal, and new growth will follow. Large or digging fish such as goldfish and some cichlids may uproot new plants. Never release aquarium plants into waterways or drains.
