The Flame Hawkfish are suited for the beginner aquarist. It is a hardy smaller species that is reef compatiable. The Flame Hawkfish has a vibrant red color, personable nature making it a popular marine aquarium addition. It is a predatory fish and can be seen sitting on corals and rock ledges waiting for unsuspecting prey to pass by.

Do not keep with invertebrates and best to avoid other bottom dwelling species. It will consume crustaceans.
Flame Hawkfish are carnivores therefore diet should consist of a variety of foods such as live blackworms, brine shrimp, freeze dried & frozen foods. Over time it can learn to accept flake.
Flame Hawkfish require a minimum tank size of approximately 150L.
