Description

The scissortail rasbora has a silver iridescence that shimmers and sparkles as it reflects ambient light.  As a shoaling species, they are best kept in groups of 6 or more fish.   • ASlender, with an almost transparent body, a horizontal black line runs from behind the gills to the tail
  • The tail is forked, and bears bands of yellow and black, ending with a band of white at the tip
  • This fish is a hardy and popular member of the Rasbora group

The minimum tank size for a small group of Scissortail Rasboras is 40L. They prefer to live in schools of a half dozen or more, the scissortail grouping is quite active. We always recommend going with larger aquariums to provide your fish with plenty of room to swim around and get comfortable.

The scissortail rasbora is a shoaling fish; it should be kept in schools of 6 to 10 individuals. You can keep them with any fish as long it’s not large and predatory.
