Description

Red Nose Shrimp is a fascinating  Aquarium shrimp. They are good tank cleaners and really can be interesting brackish invertebrates to keep in your aquarium. However, to care Red Nose Shrimp you may need some experience. Like other dwarf shrimp, the red nose shrimp are very social and prefer to stay with other shrimp of their species.

Please note: avoid the use of copper based treatments if invertebrates are present in the tank.

You could encourage algae growth by adding aquantic plants to the tank.

Aquarium Lights and Lighting

Shrimps don't require any specific lights. Lighting system is mainly for the planted aquarium. It ensures the healthy of Aquantic plans and also encourages algae growth in your tank.

Shrimp Tank Filter

Shrimp are very sensitive to ammonia and nitrite, so a good filtration system is very neccessary to house the shrimp well. Popular choice for shrimp tanks could be: sponge filter, Hang on Back Filter, or Matten Filter.

Heater for your tank

Heater will maintain a wam water temperature in the tank. You can consider adding a heater to the tank if necessary. A thermometer is recommended to control the water temperature.
